Webrex: AI SEO, Schema JSON‑LD

I’m not normally one to leave negative reviews, but I was genuinely appalled by how unprofessional this support interaction was. Support representative name ending in “rav”.

I was already on a free trial of the roughly US$10/month paid plan and contacted Webrex because Google Merchant Center was still showing schema-related issues even after I had completed the relevant setup in the app. I wanted a simple technical answer: what exact schema was causing the issue, where was it coming from, and why was Merchant Center still failing?

Instead, I had to repeatedly push for basic information. When I asked where the supposedly outdated schema actually was, I was told:

“You have to check manually on each product, collection pages.”

When I asked what exactly I was supposed to check:

“The Schemas that are injected by you manually.”

They still had not actually identified the offending schema.

The conversation then became increasingly focused on selling me a much more expensive plan:

“Trust me, currently you are in the Free Plan, Right ?”

despite me already being on the paid plan’s free trial.

Then:

“So give a Chance to our Plus”

“Free for 13 Days, pay only if you like after Trial”

“I am not telling you to buy, just give it a try for 13 Days ??”

I even explicitly said: “I am not asking for a general explanation or an upgrade recommendation. I need the specific technical source of the error first.”

Even after that, the support conversation continued to revolve around moving me from around US$10/month to the US$99.99/month Plus plan instead of properly diagnosing the issue I had contacted them about.

The pricing for multilingual schema is also incredibly poor value. If you need schema across multiple languages, Webrex pushes you toward the US$99.99/month tier. I moved to another Shopify SEO app that gives me multilingual schema across my translated storefronts, image optimisation and a large range of additional SEO tools for a tiny fraction of that price.

The whole interaction felt careless, evasive, greedy and sales-driven rather than professional technical support. A customer should not have to fight for a straight answer while being repeatedly pushed toward a subscription costing roughly ten times more.

Buyer beware if you run a multilingual store. This was enough for me to lose confidence in Webrex completely, and I have decided to move away from the app.

I have been with Webrex for 10 months now and I have to say I'm impressed with the results we've seen.

One of the most impressive experiences I've had was recently when I had an issue and opened a chat for help. The response was very quick and pinpointed the issue as being caused by another app I was using.

The support person took the issue in stride and made the fix right on the spot. Done, bada bing, bada boom! This is extraordinary service at it's best.

I highly recommend Webrex and their amazing team.

The app is great and does exactly what I needed, but the support is honestly what impressed me the most. Every time I reached out, someone replied quickly, explained everything clearly, and stayed with me until everything was working perfectly. I never felt like I was just another customer.

You can tell the team actually cares about helping, not just closing tickets. That's pretty rare these days.
