About DIY Tax Exempt Checkout

Let eligible customers claim sales tax or VAT exemptions when placing an order, without waiting for merchant assistance. DIY Tax Exempt Checkout adds a customizable tax-exemption widget to the Cart page, allowing shoppers to declare their tax-exempt status and upload supporting documentation. Shopify handles the tax calculations at checkout. For VAT exemptions, the store must use Shopify's Dynamic tax display setting; standard tax-inclusive pricing is not compatible.
