About VAT Validator Pro
EU B2B merchants need a reliable way to verify VAT numbers. Manual checks do not scale, and valid numbers can fail later. VAT Validator Pro checks numbers live against VIES via a storefront cart widget, plus a checkout field on Shopify Plus. Only VIES-confirmed results count as verified. If VIES is down, numbers stay unverified -> checkout continues and VAT may still apply. Optionally sync tax-exempt status after successful intra-community checks. Re-checks every 90 days with CSV export.
