Recharge Affinity 2.0: Customizable subscription pages and detailed journey data
Table of contents: 2 sections
Recharge has released Affinity 2.0 with two core updates for subscription merchants. The Page Builder lets you customize subscription detail pages with drag-and-drop section reordering, with separate layouts for standard and bundle products. A new Subscription Journey export captures renewal-level history, customer actions like skips and reschedules, and change tracking.
Page Builder for Subscription Layouts
Affinity 2.0's Page Builder lets you reorder subscription detail sections through drag-and-drop, giving customers a customized view of their active subscriptions. Rather than a one-size-fits-all layout, you can design separate templates for standard and bundle products, so each customer sees what's relevant to them.
This matters because subscription pages are a high-friction touchpoint. When customers can't find renewal information or see it buried beneath irrelevant sections, they skip, reschedule, or abandon. Reordering sections to surface cancellation or pause options higher might lower your skip rate. Place renewal confirmation prominently to reduce confirmation support tickets. Test both approaches to find what works for your customer base.
Subscription Journey Export
The Subscription Journey export surfaces renewal-level history and customer actions including skips, reschedules, product swaps, and change details. Rather than a high-level subscription snapshot, this export granulates the data to individual renewal events and the customer decisions that shaped them.
Merchants use this data to understand churn patterns. If customers are rescheduling rather than canceling, you may have a fulfillment or frequency issue. If skips spike before cancellations, you have a window to intervene. The export also surfaces what changed (frequency, product, quantity) and when, which helps you link customer behavior to specific actions you took on their subscription.
Recharge documents the change in its product updates site.
