Recharge Quick Actions 2.0 brings Klaviyo campaign links without login friction

Table of contents: 4 sections

Recharge Quick Actions 2.0 now lets Klaviyo campaigns link directly to subscription actions without requiring subscribers to log into your Shopify store. Customers can complete changes instantly from email, cutting friction on time-sensitive retention offers. The update removes the manual handoff where subscribers had to authenticate separately, addressing a documented drop-off point in subscription workflows.

The feature uses deep links that carry pre-authentication, meaning subscribers identified in your Recharge instance land directly in an action context without an extra login screen. Klaviyo campaign templates can now reference Recharge URLs that are already scoped to the subscriber.

This works for customers with existing subscription history. New prospects without a Recharge profile will not have valid links.

Three subscription actions now reachable from email

Subscribers can pause or delay upcoming orders, swap products in their current subscription, or add new items to the same plan.

Each action completes and confirms within the Recharge interface without requiring a return trip to Shopify's admin or your storefront account page.

This is particularly useful in pause-and-customize or win-back campaigns where you're offering flexibility options to subscribers.

When building Klaviyo campaigns, verify that your Recharge integration is enabled within Klaviyo's app directory and that the connection is current.

Test each action link in your preview environment with a real subscriber account before sending to your list. An improperly formatted or expired link will land customers on an error or authentication prompt, defeating the purpose of the no-login feature.

Check your Recharge settings to confirm that pre-authenticated link permissions are scoped only to the actions you intend to enable from email.

Retention implications and tradeoffs

This integration reduces a common friction point in subscription retention: the moment between a subscriber deciding to make a change and actually completing it. Campaigns offering pause or product swap will see faster conversion if the action link works immediately.

The trade-off is that you lose the opportunity to upsell or cross-sell during the login flow. Consider your retention strategy and decide which actions are worth exposing through Klaviyo based on whether you prioritize conversion speed over additional customer touchpoints.

Recharge documents the change in its product updates site.
