Loop adds region-based compliance setting for cancellation flows

Table of contents: 3 sections

Loop now allows merchants to skip cancellation reason surveys for subscribers in specific regions, including New York by default. Retention mechanics like offers and win-back flows continue for all subscribers. This setting helps merchants comply with state regulations that require friction-free cancellation while still pursuing retention.

Addressing Click to Cancel compliance

Click to Cancel regulations in states like New York require cancellation to be as simple as the purchase process. A cancellation reason survey, even optional, adds steps and friction that can create compliance risk. Loop's new setting removes the survey entirely for subscribers in regulated states, letting merchants meet legal requirements while still running retention offers and win-back campaigns.

How the setting works

The setting for skipping cancellation reasons by region now appears in Loop accounts and defaults to New York. When active for a region, subscribers see no cancellation reason survey, retention offers and win-back campaigns continue normally, and merchants choose which regions enable this behavior.

What to check if you use Loop

Review your Loop configuration for the region-based compliance setting. Verify it's enabled for your regions and that the cancellation flow aligns with your strategy and compliance obligations. If you serve multiple states, confirm each region is configured correctly.

Loop documents the change in its product updates site.
